1:6 But he must ask in faith without doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed around by the wind.
We absolutly have to trust that God will do as He tells us He will. And why not? We've never found seen a place where He hasn't kept His words to us yet. He has never given us a reason to not trust Him completely.
If we don't trust God, we are unstable. And of course we would be. If we doubt the foundation, the basis, and the source of everything ever, we've taken away (at least according to our doubting perception) the strength of the only real, stable, and strong thing ever.
Praise God that His lips never speak lies. Praise God that His shoulders are strong. That he can hold the universe and everything in it without ever growing weary. Praise God that this all powerful, ever strong, ever faithful, cares enough to be that God to every individual.
All these thoughts lead me to question me. How, with all the evidence, with all the truth, do I doubt? It's not logical. Father, help us to have real faith.
